This policy explains what personal information Clique Pet Grooming collects when you contact us or request a grooming appointment for your dog or cat, why we need it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Your contact details: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
  • Details about your pet: name, whether they are a dog or a cat, breed and coat type, and the treatments you're interested in.
  • Notes you share with us: such as your pet's age, temperament, matting, skin conditions or other health points relevant to grooming them safely.
  • Correspondence: the emails we exchange about appointments.

How we use it

  • To reply to your request and agree an appointment time.
  • To groom your pet safely, taking into account anything you've told us about their coat, health or behaviour.
  • To contact you about an appointment, for example if something changes or we notice something about your pet you'd want to know.
  • To keep the records we need to run the business and meet our legal obligations.

We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked to receive them, and we never sell your information.

Our lawful bases

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on: taking steps at your request before providing a service, and then performing that service; our legitimate interest in running a safe, organised grooming business; your consent, where you give it, for example when you tick the box on our request form; and legal obligations such as keeping business records.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to. That includes providers who help us operate, such as our email service, and professional advisers such as accountants. If your pet becomes unwell while in our care, we will try to reach you first; where that isn't possible and your pet needs urgent attention, we may share relevant details with a vet.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiries that don't lead to an appointment are deleted once they're no longer needed, and business records are kept for the period required by law.

This website

This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. The request form checks your entries in your browser before sending. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them to deliver the font files.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us to make a request; we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
